Hunt Logistics, Comments & Other Stuff:
During the Spring Bear Hunts, we’ll be in snow everyday.
Temperatures may vary from 10*-50*, with a 60% chance of
rain or snow. To make yourself as comfortable as
possible, bring clothes made of wool, polypropylene,
hollofill, thinsulate, or other materials w/ similar
features (no down). You’ll change out of your street
clothes in Dillingham. Your street clothes and hard
rifle case will stay in Dillingham. I’ll fly you
directly from Dillingham to your hunting camp in a Super
Cub on skis, your gun will be in a hard case on the
wing, and your gear will be in the baggage compartment
in the back of the plane. To ensure aircraft safety,
there is a gear weight restriction of 50 lbs per person
(plus gun). All your gear should be in a soft-sided
duffel bag (no hard luggage, sides or bottom), the

You can change out of your street clothes here in
Dillingham. Your hard gun case and street clothes will
stay in town. We’ll fly to camp in a Super Cub on tundra
tires, your gun will be in a case on the wing, and your
gear (max 50 LBS) will fit behind you in the baggage
area. To ensure aircraft safety, there is a 50 LB weight
restriction (plus gun). All gear should be in soft-sided
duffle bag (no hard luggage, sides or bottom), the
rubber, waterproof kind are very nice.
While hunting we can expect temperatures to vary
between 25* and 50*, winds at 10-30 mph are common.
We’ll also experience rain and/or snow 40-80% of the
time. To make yourself comfortable, bring clothing made
from wool, polypropylene, hollofill, thinsulate, or
similar materials with same features, no down. Please do
your best to keep the weight and bulk to a minimum,
aircraft space is limited.
